Medium pitch

Weight shifts as wedge makes impact before it reaches bottom of stroke. Club moves across turf and upward into a smooth follow-through.

The body twists and the wedge swings in a wide arc to finish .

Playing a wedge the flange skids along the turf instead of digging in like a no. 8 or no. 9 would.

RULES for PITCHING

a) Never whip the club just before it hits the ball to get more power. b) Hit the ball before the club reaches the bottom of the stroke. c) Relax your knees to insure good balance and smoothness. d) Don’t dig but let the  wedge skim the ground.
