1 Grip

Fundamental 1 grip

The aim is to seat the shaft grip in, under, or against certain points in the hands. On the left                                                                hand these points are at the end of the crease line across the palm and between the middle                                                                            and end joint of the left index finger. Fold your hand around the grip then place the left                                                                               thumb slightly to the right of the shaft centre-line to complete the left hand grip.

Whether using an overlap or inter-locking grip the essential feature of the right hand grip                                                                         is that the shaft should fill the fingers and not the palm.  With the club filling the fingers,                                                                                the right thumb folds over so that the side of the thumb seats on the far side of the grip.                                                                 Index finger forms a trigger hold.
